Mac McAnally Signs to Toby Keith's Record Label

Mac McAnally has signed a record deal with Show Dog Records, the label founded and operated by Toby Keith. McAnally recently earned his first No. 1 hit as a performer with the Kenny Chesney duet, "Down the Road." McAnally's other writing credits include Alabama's "Old Flame," Ricky Van Shelton's "Crime of Passion," Sawyer Brown's "All These Years" and Chesney's "Back Where I Come From." He was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2007 and won a CMA Award for musician of the year in 2008. "There's nobody more respected, at least when it comes to musicians and people who really know this business, than Mac McAnally," Keith said. "There aren't a lot of guys you put in that category, and I've gotten to work with a few. So getting to be a part of whatever Mac wants to do is an honor for me and for everyone at the label."
